Covering Risk from Every Angle: University and Museum Collection Insurance Handbook

This presentation will help risk managers undersand and explain to their CFO, senior management and shareholders some key issues surrounding insurance for university collections. Topics covered will include E&O for authentication and professional services rendered by university museum collections, title insurance for items in the collection, UCC fillings, creating secure loans when lending out artwork and objects form your collection, loan agreements, and incoming loans for any kind of "rare or historic objects", not just artwork.

As a result of participating in this session:
 Attendees will learn the importance of flushing out their institutions’ risk exposure and how to address these items through insurance solutions.
 They will learn how to address loan agreement review, the legal implications with regard to lending their collections, and how to protect themselves from litigation surrounding their collections
 Attendees will learn how to implement UCC filings for outgoing loans and assess the need for special lines of insurance coverage to protect against suits/judgments from E&O and media liability suits brought about due to university collections activities
