Form a Captive, Join a Pool, Inherit a Captive…. Now What?

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

This panel discussion will give you a preview of the captive and pooling options by highlighting the pros and cons of each. It will help you clarify the objectives of each risk transfer method so you can match the risk transfer vehicle to your institution’s needs, goals and objectives. It is meant to be an overview of both captives and pools, a great 101 class. The panel provides a 4D perspective. It includes a Chief Risk Officer who inherited a start- up captive, a Captive Consultant who works with institutions on an aspirational level, an executive director of a higher education consortium who understands the nuances of group purchasing and an underwriter/claim handler from a carrier that issues both insurance and reinsurance contracts.
